A spiritual journey is an individual experience. There are no leaders or followers, just you and your inner drive for self-discovery. It may be helpful to study the experiences of others, but then commit to pursuing your own first-hand spiritual experiences and self-knowledge of our multi-dimensional universe. Connect with your spirituality through personal experience rather than beliefs. Come to a place in your mind where personal exploration replaces faith or worship. As an explorer of consciousness, there is no need for statues, buildings, robes, or rituals.

What is the spiritual path?

We are multidimensional beings, and the spiritual path is the inner-dimensional journey of consciousness within us and leads to our reuniting with our spiritual source. Unknown to many, we exist as a microcosm of the entire multidimensional universe. When we shift our awareness inward through deep meditation, OBEs, and NDEs, we are experiencing and traveling the path within us. The expansive nonphysical nature of our multi-dimensional self is the universal inner spiritual path.

A major step to personal spiritual empowerment is to open our minds and examine our current state of consciousness. This is the beginning of a life-changing quest for enlightenment. A pivotal move is to open our mind so that we can reappraise everything we were taught to believe from birth. The spiritual path is invisible. It is within each of us, patiently waiting for us to awaken and travel home. Teachers throughout the ages have repeated this, but few have listened. Simply put, the spiritual path is an internal journey of consciousness. Our multidimensional nature is the inner path we travel.

What do you mean by ‘walking our spiritual path instead of believing in the path?’

This means to become an active participant in your personal spiritual evolution. Choose the path that is right for you; design it with your own abilities and aspirations in mind.

We possess the natural skill to become explorers of consciousness; we have the power to obtain the answers for ourselves. Increasing numbers of us now move beyond our childhood indoctrination and choose to walk our own path of self-empowerment and personal spiritual exploration. This great quest requires the vision and courage to reappraise our assumptions and travel the spiritual path that lies within us.

What is the purpose of setting a spiritual intention?

Most people drift through life without ever considering their ultimate spiritual goal. They remain completely immersed in the daily drama of their physical lives, while the critical importance of their spiritual development is completely overlooked. Let us change this now. From one of my readers, I present an example of setting an intention during an out-of-body experience.

“During my out-of-body experiences, I was very focused on finding answers and having a spiritual experience. One night, I fell asleep and was shaken awake by what I thought was a train running through my bedroom. I tried to move but couldn’t. I then thought about knowing God. I instantly shot through an incredible series or layers of colors and was suddenly floating in an endless ocean of white light. I was connected to everything and everyone.”

Take a few moments to focus on your ultimate spiritual intention. Ideally, what do you wish to experience and achieve in this life. Whether it is self-realization or union with your higher self; use the term that you feel best clarifies your personal intention. Make this your focused spiritual goal.

Enhance Your Experience: Carve Your Primary Spiritual Intention into your Mind

A boat without a rudder will drift and founder in the ocean. By focusing on our spiritual intention, we begin to steer our journey of consciousness and accelerate our unlimited growth.

  • Close your eyes and become centered. Calm your mind and visualize a large block of stone or marble; this stone represents your subconscious mind.
  • Imagine carving your focused intention into the stone. Use the present tense; for example, “Spiritual Essence Now!” or “OBE Now!” or “Higher Self Now!” or create your own.
  • Clearly see it as you carve each letter and word with a chisel or power tool. Feel it manifesting. Touch it. Make it absolutely real with the unlimited power of your mind. Step back and observe your creation. See, sense, or feel it clearly.
  • Acknowledge that you have just carved your primary goal into your mind. Absolutely accept and know that your highest spiritual intention has become a permanent part of your conscious and subconscious mind.
  • Now accept and embrace your spiritual intention as an essential part of your complete being. Repeat this visualization until it becomes second nature to you.

Do this daily and preferably before your meditation
and all exploration of consciousness sessions.

What is the first step in developing my own personal spiritual practice?

The first major step to personal spiritual empowerment is to open our mind and reexamine our current state of consciousness. Ask yourself some important questions, why do you believe what you do today? What evidence supports your conclusions? What would you believe today if you were born in another country or culture? What religion and flag would you follow and defend? Take a moment and be completely honest with yourself.

For many the response to these questions is the beginning of a life-changing quest for real answers and enlightenment. A stunning reality becomes clear; the unseen nature of our existence, our afterlife and our spiritual path is buried under a lifetime of cultural and religious training. For many a pivotal step on the spiritual path is to reexamine everything we were taught to believe from birth. Only with an open mind and clear vision can we begin to cut through the dense fog of manmade beliefs and doctrines that dominate the physical world.

What is the single most important thing I can do to cultivate my spiritual development?

Practice an effective method to have your own profound spiritual/nonphysical experience. Begin with a meditation practice. That can be in the form of meditation, yoga, breath work or sound technology, basically whatever process that moves you into an altered state. This can include lucid dreaming or out-of-body travel. Make this a priority.

What is something simple that I can do today to begin my journey?

Something that I have found to be powerful is to create a personal spiritual symbol that I can hold in my mind as a focus tool. This can be a globe of light, a wisp of cloud, or even a humanoid form that resonates with you. Some people choose something simple like a flower, a star, or a crystal. You could also draw, paint, or build something of your own creation.

Sometimes the existing religious symbols can separate us, much like a sports jersey or political mascot. Creating your own symbol is a private and meaningful action. It matches well with your personal spiritual intention.

Taking Action: Boosting Your Spiritual Energy

First, we must become aware of what is worth our energy. Letting go of thoughts and activities that do not serve our higher good will allow spiritual awakening to occur. Here are a few ways to energize your spiritual development.

  1. Focus your spiritual growth with a meditative practice. Keep it simple and attainable on a regular basis. Journal your thoughts after and use these insights to increase awareness of your higher self.
  2. Acknowledge that you are a nonphysical being that has manifested a physical body for the learning opportunity. Use any perceived negative events to become a more conscious participant in your own spiritual development. Choose one event, person, or situation. Identify the impact that this has had on your life. Review any lessons that you have been able to identify from this and use these in future relations. If this requires forgiveness, then provide it and then release the situation back to the universe.
  3. Unleash an artistic outlet. This can be writing, painting, sculpting, composing music or even working in a garden. By creating in the physical world, you develop your skills to design and build your any reality.
  4. Do something new; whether it is visiting a place where you have never been, trying a new food, joining a group, or developing a new hobby. This sends a message to your higher self that you are ready to absorb new experiences that will expand your awareness and raise your vibration.
  5. Simplify your material life. Reducing the physical objects around you will lessen the chance of attachment to the physical world.

BONUS: Reflect on the positive changes that you have seen in this last year, month or even days. Whether it is personal or global; focusing on the positive will create more good things in your life.

What is the universal unseen block hindering our spiritual evolution?

Lack of personal knowledge/experience of our nonphysical immortal self. As a result, many people largely accept ingrained institutional programming, indoctrination and beliefs of their culture and society.

Objectively examine everything you have learned from childhood. Be completely open to shifts of awareness and radical new perspectives. Believe nothing and assume nothing is true. Become unattached to the massive media machine that is created to manipulate our mind and emotions.

This is why NDEs, OBEs and other profound experiences beyond the body are so valuable; they expand our mind and perception; open us to new thoughts and possibilities.

What is the primary obstacle that holds humanity within the physical and astral dimensions?

Our deep-seated belief that we are physical human beings can slow our growth. How can we, as soul, possibly experience and reunite our spiritual essence when we continue to cling to the dense self-identity of matter? We create the blocks to our spiritual progress by the very thoughts and beliefs we hold dear.

What do you mean by the term spiritual mobility?

Most humans - both living and dead - are limited to a single dimensional reality. They are prisoners of their mind. Our spiritual mobility is our ability to consciously experience and traverse the inner expanse of our multidimensional self and obtain true freedom from the dense outer realities of form and matter.

Why does spiritual evolution seem to take so long?

Souls visiting Earth love to weave their intricate web of dreams out of form and substance. A dilemma unfolds, because we become attached to our own creations. Our continuing connection to the physical world often impacts our spiritual development. This applies to both the living and the dead, because many souls continue to be attached to their human form even after death.

Most people do not know the basics of their existence: what am I, what is my purpose, where am I going at death, where did I come from before my birth, what is the nature of reality, and what is the afterlife? This opens the door to an overwhelming dependency on man-made theories and beliefs.

The lack of spiritual self-knowledge leads to the indoctrination and manipulation of the masses. When unaware of our true spiritual existence - wars, murder, and inhumanity are the result. Filling the void, institutional belief systems prosper as they continue to distort the reality of our spiritual existence and our multidimensional path as soul.

However, we can change this today; a single profound spiritual experience can radically transform your entire perception of reality. Suddenly you know you are an immortal being and that you are connected to all that is. You absolutely know that you continue beyond the physical and you realize that you are fully accountable for your actions. When you personally experience your spiritual nature, you truly know—not just believe—that all harmful acts directed against another are only harming you. Your awakening is everything.

Are there some steps to creating my own spiritual action plan?

There are various methods to explore our spiritual essence; including, deep meditation, various advanced yoga methods, self-initiated trance states and OBEs just to name a few. Each of us may respond differently based on our mindset, previous experience or simply a personal preference. The key is for us to discover and practice a method of inner exploration beyond the physical and experience our spiritual source.

Taking Action: Developing your Own Spiritual Plan

Our journey of consciousness within us is the direct path to our spiritual core. It is helpful to recognize that an effective spiritual action plan has several essential elements. Below are some of the major steps that I have found to be important.

  • Create your ultimate personal spiritual intention or affirmation with strong commands to your subconscious. (For example: Spiritual Awakening Now! Spiritual Liberation Now! Higher Self Now! Spiritual Essence Now!) Make it a focused written goal.
  • Identify and release all the energy anchors that bind you to the many consensus realities of the physical and nonphysical dimensions.
  • Learn and practice a daily method for the exploration of consciousness that resonates with you. Deep meditation, self-initiated trance states, OBEs, and various forms of yoga such as Kundalini yoga can lead to a profound spiritual experience.
  • Practice detachment and living in the moment. Become transparent to the constant swirling energies and dramas around you.
  • Practice unconditional love and express gratitude in your daily life. I forgive all and release all - especially myself.

Why is having a spiritual action plan important?

Every explorer needs a plan to navigate the countless thought responsive realities we will experience on our journey as soul.

As we open to a more expansive vision of ourselves, it is important to recognize that the path to our spiritual essence/higher self is an inner journey of consciousness beyond the physical body and our biological senses. Here is one experience told to me by a workshop participant.

“When I am having my most profound experiences, I move through a rainbow and my entire being is completely surrounded by an endless sea of liquid color filled with loving light. I feel as if I am the light, but yet somehow, I am still an individual. An incredible feeling of peace and love surrounds me. I am part of the universe. All knowledge is present.”

For many of us, the ultimate sacred goal is to reunite with our spiritual essence or what many today call the higher self.

What can I do to begin this journey?

Focus on personal awakening. By quieting the mind, you can access the light within. Be open to your intuition and recognize that new insights, knowledge, and opportunities will support your personal awakening. Spiritual growth requires change.

Make the effort to recognize and release all the energy anchors that bind you to the limits of the physical world. Detach from the many roles and labels you hold. Let go of that dense self-identity. Recognize the ego mind and remember that we exist beyond those limits. Learn and practice a daily method for the exploration of your consciousness. With experience you can obtain firsthand knowledge about your existence beyond matter.

I have a busy schedule. Can you give me a simple way to focus and hold my intention?

One easy method of focusing our intention is to create a clear affirmation and repeat it several times a day, like a mantra. For example, repeating "Higher Self Now" or "Spiritual Essence Now" can be powerful. Silently repeat your affirmation as you are drifting to sleep or while meditating. Do this for several days and notice any vibrational changes or shifts of perception occurring in your state of consciousness. Often, your entire being may feel lighter and brighter. Repetition of your spiritual intention as you drift to sleep can also initiate lucid dreams and out-of-body experiences. Ideally hold your intention as your last thought as you go to sleep.

The Inner Path to our Spiritual Essence

As we open to a more expansive vision of ourselves, it is important to recognize that the means to our spiritual essence/higher self is an inner journey of consciousness beyond the physical body and our biological senses.

The spiritual path is invisible; there are no churches, cathedrals, doctrines, priest craft or dogma. The direction lies within each of us, patiently waiting for us to awaken and experience. Spiritual teachers throughout the ages have said this, but few have listened. History teaches us that it requires self-motivation and a spiritual practice to explore the uncharted ocean of consciousness within us.

Prepare for a wild ride; the raw truth of our spiritual existence is far more mind-bending and empowering than any book can begin to express. We are eternal spiritual beings evolving our consciousness/soul through intense physical experiences. We are an immortal nonphysical species that possesses unlimited potential. Each day we are learning and growing from our many personal experiences to become seasoned and evolved spiritual beings.

The universal spiritual path we travel is an individual journey of consciousness that begins with the courage to open our mind and question everything in our quest for the truth. For many the time has come to awaken to a life changing realization; man-made beliefs alone do not provide an effective spiritual preparation or guidance for our life or our afterlife. As spiritual beings we possess the innate ability to experience and obtain the answers we seek. The key is to become an active explorer of your personal spiritual path, instead of a being a passive believer in the path.

Spirituality is lived, not just believed, or studied.
