Lessons in Creativity
Why is learning the concept of creativity important?
When we die, we enter a highly thought-responsive environment where creating our reality becomes an essential part of our continuing evolution. The more we practice and develop our creativity in the physical, the more natural it becomes during our afterlife journey of consciousness. Like everything we wish to master, practice is vital. Creating our personal environment is an essential skill to develop in all dimensional realities.
Here are a few key elements:
Be aware of the process. Knowing that you have the power to create your surrounding or reality can assist in your entire practice.
Acknowledge that you do have strong creative abilities. We create everyday—the key is to be mindful of what we achieve. Our small daily creations are important; recognize them.
Identify the opportunities for personal creation as they present themselves to you. Use each one to practice your skill as a creative being.
What is the significance of keeping a journal for creativity?
By keeping a Creativity Journal, you can acknowledge over time how much you have accomplished. Whether it is something simple like creating a smile on someone’s face or complex like completing a screenplay or art project, documenting will assist in manifesting more ideas and opportunities for you. If appropriate, take photos (before and after) as further confirmation of your creative skills.
Taking Action: Ideas to Inspire and Create your Reality
Here are five simple ways to showcase your hidden creativity and alter your reality.
- Paint a room in your home. Planning for color, purchasing the tools you need, and prepping the surface are a series of actions that combine to create your reality. This is true for any home improvement. If you have no skills, tools, or budget, rearrange the furniture or artwork on your walls.
- Plan and then plant a garden. This can be as simple as a few flowers or as complex as a community vegetable garden. Your actions where you imagine, design, and build will change your environment.
- Plan and experiment with a new meal for friends or for yourself. You could try a fresh recipe, a different culture’s flavors, or just use equipment that is unfamiliar to you. Pay attention to new smells, textures, and colors as you prepare the dish.
- Write a poem. Simply put your words onto paper. They do not have to rhyme or have a certain number of syllables; a few “greeting card” lines will do.
- Do a good deed for another. Creation does not have to be for one’s self, it can be aiding another to change their environment. Generating career prospects, providing necessities, or being a supportive friend can also provide occasions to be creative.
Can you give me an example of where creative power was part of an out-of-body experience?
This is one of my experiences where the discovery of my own creative power was made clear.
“I float in an ethereal ocean of glorious living light where my every intention manifests before me. Unlimited abundance with endless levels of love and joy have saturated my awareness and I comprehend a staggering truth—I possess the power of creation. My thoughts shape the energy around me.”
Can I find ways to practice Creativity in everyday activities?
We are born with an instinct to create. Many of us are inspired to write a book, compose music, produce beautiful works of art, or hand craft items from wood, fabric, or stone. These are the obvious actions of a creative soul. There are also more subtle forms like teaching a child, developing a business, planning an event, or decorating your home. These, too, are activities of creation.
“You cannot use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.” Oscar Wilde
Manifesting
How do I create my ideal life?
A simple but powerful energy principle is always present. The universe automatically responds to your thoughts, both positive and negative. Every thought is like an energy mold that forms in the unseen dimensions, creating the substructure for our outer physical reality. Manifestation is a multidimensional process. Focus all your attention on what you really want in your life! Every thought possesses inherent creative energy, so do not feed your fears. No exceptions!
A great daily habit is to pause every day and objectively observe your thought stream, your self-talk. Delete and replace what no longer serves you. Use this Self-Assessment as a tool to get you started on this journey.
Enhance Your Experience: Review your Conscious Awareness with a Self-Assessment
Self-Assessment
Examine the list below and review your current mindset. Observe your life and review the trajectory of your state of consciousness. What areas of your life have you awakened? What in your life requires attention today? What fills your mind daily: what beliefs, what books and music, what thoughts and actions—what is your focus? Be objective. Are you on a daily treadmill, too busy to think about the important aspects of your existence?
- I have established in writing my ultimate spiritual goals for this lifetime.
- I am beginning to recognize and eliminate the old habits, addictions, and behaviors in my life that no longer serve my goals.
- I have a driving need to uncover the answers to the mysteries of life and the purpose for my existence.
- I am seeing a shift in my life’s priorities while releasing people, objects, and activities that no longer support my spiritual intention.
- I am becoming more aware of my ego mind’s manipulation and control methods.
- I am allowing my daily life to flow without resistance to change.

- I see myself becoming more spiritually independent, no longer needing the approval or acceptance of others.
- I have less attachment to the physical possessions in my life.
- I practice a daily meditative exercise that resonates with me.
- I practice detachment from the energies and dramas that swirl around me.
- I am noticing increased sensitivity to subtle energies and improved perception abilities.
- I am experiencing an escalation in the number of dreams I remember. Some manifest as experiences involving situations of spiritual training or instruction.
- I am experiencing unconditional love in more aspects of my life.
- I have created a detailed spiritual action plan for my life and my ideal journey at death.
- I recognize and express gratitude for the opportunities that assist in my development.
5-Minute Version: Select just one, either by choice or at random, whenever you need thought for creative inspiration in your practice. Schedule a quick meditative moment for yourself with the thought or activity described. When you have completed those that are important to you, start again or create your own motivational notes to elevate your practice.
Honor yourself for the insight that encourages you to be open to a new perspective. Then carefully examine the areas of your life that may require additional consideration.
Why is developing our creative abilities so important to this process?
It is essential for each of us to master our creative ability and consciously create our reality. Souls who fail to exercise complete control over their thought-energy projections remain cloistered within the outer, dense, training environments of the astral and physical dimensions. To enter and coexist within the instant-thought-responsive realities (the higher heavens), we must exercise complete control over our thought projections. Our current life is the basic training ground of soul.
What are the key points to manifesting your reality?
Everything is a form of energy. Modern physics has proven that everything around us is a form of moving energy. Nothing is truly solid. Science has confirmed that all energy and forms, even subatomic particles, can be influenced by thought. This knowledge opens the door to a starting new vision of reality.
We mold our individual energy reality with the power of our thoughts. Your thoughts create the energy mold commonly called thought forms within the inner dimensions. The key is to not only think about your goal but also commit it to writing. Be specific. Writing your goals or dreams helps to crystallize them even faster. In addition, some people find it helpful to create a mental movie of their desired reality.
Visualization
I have difficulty visualizing during my meditations. Do you have any methods that would help?
One of the most effective methods to experience out-of-body exploration is to use your creative visualization ability. Each of us has the natural ability to picture something or someplace in our mind. We do it every day in a thousand different ways. Most of us have little difficulty imagining our favorite vacation place, automobile, home, or person. Using our imagination in this way is natural.
Enhance your Experience: Practice Visualization
For a few moments, close your eyes and begin to picture your favorite vacation destination. Select a place you have visited and know well. Ideally, you can supplement your memory by looking at a photo, online picture, or an example from a book. Just relax and begin to see this as clearly as possible. Begin to picture the trees, buildings, people—all the small details. Become involved in the scene as much as possible and vividly see and hear all the sensations associated with your chosen location. You can add people, colors, and sounds if you are inspired.
Now take this scene one step farther and picture yourself entering this paradise. Clearly see and feel yourself within a specific physical location. Imagine all the colors, sounds and sensations associated with the surroundings. Begin to interact with the people and environment you see. Use all your senses; become immersed in the sounds, sights, and sensations of your vacation. Take your time and enjoy the experience.
Another option:
For many, visualizing a loved one from whom you are separated is effective. Just picture the person that you wish to be with as vividly as possible. It helps to be emotionally involved, so select a person you would love to be with—not necessarily a romantic connection. Choose someone you know, not a fantasy relationship. Become completely absorbed in their presence and feel what it is like to be with this person. If you like, add in a role play with some kind of interaction to keep you involved.
Continue your visualization of this person for as long as possible as you allow your physical body to completely relax and fall to sleep. It is important to maintain a detailed picture of this person and your interaction as you go to sleep. As you doze off, attempt to boost your emotional and visual connection with this person as much as possible.
What are some more practical visualization ideas?
Visualization techniques are enjoyable when you relax and select a pleasurable place, person, or object as the focus of your attention. Whatever you select as the focus of your attention should be an actual physical item or location. The key to all out-of-body visualization methods is to become completely involved in the pictured physical environment. This method is an excellent bedtime activity. Keep in mind, the more emotionally involved you are, the more effective this technique is. Have fun with it and let your imagination go wild.
The ability to focus and maintain complete attention outside the physical body as you fall to sleep is an important skill to develop. The more focused your attention, the more success you will experience.
Can I have an OBE if I can’t visualize at all?
Yes! There are tactile methods such as focusing on the sensations of climbing a ladder or a rope. One example is to feel the sensation of swinging on a playground swing. The idea is to first do this activity several times in the physical with your eyes closed and memorize all the physical sensations associated with it. For example, feel the wind in your face as you slowly rock your legs and swing higher and higher. Feel and memorize the grip of your hands on the two ropes holding the swing. Enjoy all the sensations associated with this motion.
During your OBE meditation session hold all the physical sensations of this motion as your last conscious thought as you focus on your intention and your favorite silent affirmation; examples, “Astral Now!” or “OBE Now!”. This approach goes well with the “Wake/Back to Bed” method I outlined earlier and on my website.
Mechanics of Creation—How does it work?
The subtle unseen thought forms that dominate segments of the inner dimensions grow in density and detail as we direct and focus our repeated thought energy upon them. Every focused idea—whether it is a pair of shoes, house, a car, or a relationship—increases in density within the astral dimension with our continued thought reinforcement.
With repeated thought reinforcement, a stable energy mold and an inter-dimensional opening into the dense physical world is developed. This allows the energy object or relationship to eventually manifest in the physical world. In other words, the subtle energies of the unseen dimensions are solidified and transformed into three-dimensional forms by our thoughts, goals, and intentions. This is the unseen energy essence of creation, the mechanics and manifestation of form.

Every focused goal becomes a thought form and has the potential to become matter. This is also the unseen reason why goal setting and visualization is effective in the physical world.
Most people on Earth are playing a single-dimensional game of chess with their state of consciousness. They only see and participate within the dense façade of matter that surrounds them. As such they are easily infatuated with and manipulated by the popular beliefs of their culture and society. It takes real courage and commitment to explore beyond the outer crust of reality and perceive the awesome unseen multidimensional game you are currently playing.
